Our fantastic Snooker room boasts:
9 well maintained snooker tables
The club has 3 snooker teams that are entered in the Birmingham Efficiency League which plays its matches throughout the winter season. A team is also entered in the summer league.
Club Knockout competitions take place from mid-August, culminating in the snooker finals night in December, and a separate league based format keeps the interest alive throughout the year.
A bar area – to socialise in a friendly, ambient atmosphere
2 wide screen TV’s – situated in the alcoves on either side of the room, so as not to distract the snooker players.
The table tennis section has 3 teams, which play the winter season in divisions 3, 4 & 5 of the Birmingham & District Table Tennis Association. Home matches are played on Monday and Wednesday evenings.
A team is also entered in the summer league, with home matches played on Monday evenings.
If anyone within the Walmley Club is interested in playing table tennis, please contact the secretary Mr Alan White, either by telephone 07816430427, or by email firstname.lastname@example.org
There are regular friendly games at the club on Saturday and Sunday nights with stakes of £2 on Saturdays and £5 on Sundays.
We also hold occasional tournaments with cash prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
The dominoes section plays in the Sutton League mainly but we also play in League Cup competitions and in the doubles knockout we had one of our teams, Roy Thomas and Alan Barker make it all the way to the final and WIN!
Currently running at the club is a member’s knockout competition of doubles and singles.
For lovers of live sport we have three large flat screen televisions and a large screen for the real cinema experience, showing live football matches and other sporting events… contact us for more information.
